Ladies Working Party

Ladies Working Party

The Ladies Working Party is a very important group attached to St Mary's Church and is held every Tuesday throughout the year with the exception of special days and holidays. It comprises a group of dedicated ladies, and anyone else who wishes to come along and join in with the group's activities. Meetings commence with prayers and a reading from scripture. This is usually followed by any outstanding business held over from previous meetings. Everyone is allowed to raise an issue which has to be agreed before it is accepted. It is a friendly and caring group of ladies. The upkeep of the Church Hall is the sole responsibility of the working group and its contributions pay for repairs and maintenance. The hall itself is also used for a variety of purposes both for the church and the local community. Any letting fees paid by non-church organisations also help to pay for its upkeep.
